FOUNDRY CAPABILITY:
The foundry manufactures a diverse range of durable castings, varying from 5 kg to 3,000 kg in net weight. The melting process occurs in four medium-frequency induction furnaces, each capable of holding two tons. Throughout casting, test pieces are formed for metallurgical inspection and physical evaluation. The metal composition is closely monitored and certified if necessary.

Within the green sand facility, green sand molding is accomplished using five sets of jolt squeeze molding machines. Molding boxes are available in sizes ranging from 18″ x 12″ (460 mm x 230 mm) to 30″ x 30″ (760 mm x 760 mm). The typical weight of items produced in this section is around 12 kg. This section is optimized for high-volume production runs.

In the floor molding segment, the foundry employs a furane-based system, featuring two sand mixers with a capacity of 15 tons per hour each. The foundry has the capacity to cast objects as large as 3,000 mm x 1,500 mm x 1,000 mm, with a maximum weight of 3,000 kg.

The engineering workshop creates a variety of components such as pulleys, flanges, couplings, and other original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products.

PRODUCTS:
The expertise of CE Africa Foundry spans across a variety of capital equipment and consumable elements utilized in sectors such as mining, earth-moving, chemical processing, water treatment, transportation, rail systems, sugar production, paper manufacturing, agriculture, construction, mechanical power transmission, and general engineering.

Commonly cast products encompass wheel hubs, rod ends, torque plates, cast nuts, brake shoes, motor housings, railway components, flange couplings, pulleys, valve bodies, diaphragms, mill and barrel liners, wear plates, chilling molds, crane wheels, pulley grooves, and bearing housings.
